Midnight Magic Academy History
Once, long before Midnight Magic was established, there was a great war raging throughout the world, between Muggles and the wizarding world. A great ruler, of non magic descent, despised wizards, and vowed to wipe out the entire population of wizards. He was a dictator, and the non magic people followed him blindly, out of fear of wizard kind. The name of this ruler was Andoran Flenspa, feared and hated by the wizarding community.
As more time passed wizards around the world were dying, and finally, four witches and wizards decided that something must be done. Their names were Kaliah LeMeera, Nicholas Norotone, Rory Morolat, and Lalaine Relando. They saw that their world was being destroyed, and came up with a solution. They created a school, called Midnight Magic Academy, after the only time it was safe to do magic: midnight.
It was then that the four houses were created. The beautiful Kaliah LeMeera, also the most clever of the group, made the House of Callidus, while Lalaine Relando made the loyal House of Fidelis. The most cunning of the group was Rory Morolat, and he created the House of Dolosus. Finally, the courageous Nicholas Norotone made the House of Fortitudo.
Years after the school was made, fear and dispute still raged through the land. The dictator had not yet found the school, but witches and wizards were being killed even before they were sent to Midnight Magic. If this continued, the whole population would be gone. The four founders realized their idea wasn’t working, and decided to do something to stop it. Something drastic. They had to do a mass memory wipe on the whole world, which meant that the wizarding population would not know they were wizards, and non magical people would never know witches and wizards existed.
There was only one flaw in their master plan, and that was who would revive the wizarding world when it was safe? Their only idea was to implant four Horcruxes around the world, and though they knew this was an evil and dastardly thing to do, they proceeded with the plan to wipe out the whole world’s memory. Before the charm was performed they made a letter, and enchanted it so that when the time was right, it would become readable to the world, but only by a witch or wizard. The letter contained an explanation to everything, and the locations of the four Horcruxes they had created. It would only become readable when the land was safe once again, to prevent another terrible war. So, their wands connected at the tip, they said the charm, and the world forgot what was once so important.
Hurrying, they Apparated to the places they had chosen to put their Horcruxes, and hid them carefully. They met up again, on the school grounds, and took one last look before they did what had to be done. Each pointed their wands at the other, and, hesitantly, they said the two words that could erase all memory of the wizarding population. “Avada Kedavra!”
Years later, the ancient letter was found, preserved because of the charm the founders had put on it. The name of the person that found it was Latisha Relora. She searched exactly where she was told to look for the Horcruxes, but found only one, the preserved soul of Kaliah LeMeera. She used the Horcrux to bring her back, or the part of her soul she had put into the Horcrux. She told the tale of the terrible war, of how she and her fellow founders had preserved themselves, and of the horrible thing they had to do. She also explained that since Latisha could read the letter, she was a witch. This resulted in her teaching the girl, and finally, when she was ready, Latisha reopened the school. She seeked out all of the witches and wizards in the world and told them what they were, with Kaliah to help her.
Slowly, the wizarding world began to develop again. Some people denied what they were, while others embraced the possibility and went to Midnight Magic for training. They were all adults however, but some had younger kids who were the right age for teaching, and they were taught separately. It took many years, but at long last wizards could multiply and rebuild the population.
One day Kaliah faded away, because her job had been done. Latisha continued to run the school until the day she died, when the Deputy Head took over. Since then the school has been run for several generations, and witches and wizards have advanced farther than ever. Today, the school is led by Monica LeMeera, a descendent of Kaliah.
